7th grade social studies covers the time period from the fall of Rome to the Age of Enlightenment. We will be studying various cultures on the continents of Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. It can be a fast moving class as we have a lot of material to cover so be sure to have good attendance and keep up with the assignments.
Class Announcements Semester gradesPlease remember your semester grade is the average of the first and second quarter grades. Look them up on Teacherease and use the numeric score (not the letter) to calculate your final grade. Simply add the numeric score for each quarter and then divide by two.
Late WorkThe end of the semester is fast approaching! The deadline for late work is December 9th. After that it can not be counted toward the first semester grade so please get it turned in as soon as possible!
 CA #4Common Assessment #4, covering China and Japan, will be December 7th.
 #2Common Assessment #2 on Islam will be given October 14th.
QuizzesWeekly quizzes will be given on Fridays with the exception of weeks when we have a common assessment.
 Common AssessmentThe first common assessment wil be given on Friday, September 16th.
Homework/ClassworkHomework for the week will be started in class and collected the next day! After one week it will be considered late and marked down one point. All work must include your name, the date the assignment was given, and the title of the assignment.
